I don't know why, but there seems to be a fad to film movies in multiple languages. For example, it might be a movie filmed in English, in Hollywood, but at some point, they visit France and a number of people in the movie are speaking French. There seem to be different methodologies regarding subtitles with multi-language movies:
- Only English is subtitled and it says (speaking French) when they are in France
- Only the French is subtitled and translated to English
- Both the English and French is subtitled with the French being translated to English
My question is, is there any way to know which type of subtitle it is before downloading it?
It's kind of a hassle to find the subtitle file, extract it, upload it to a movie, try it out and find out that it's either not synced correctly or just says (speaking French) and have to go through the whole thing over again, usually multiple times.
is there some type of code on opensubtiles, yify, etc... that indicates if all languages are translated?
