liakelly Yeah, I know it's originally in French. When I requested the English version, it was said that it was being added, but this was clearly a lie. Does this mean the English version won't be uploaded? BTW, Tubi isn't available in my country.

FairyNight Calling it "clearly a lie" feels a bit harsh, but that's just my take. When you're dealing with a peer network like you're forced to with torrenting, it's hard to make promises, because while you have every intention of adding what's requested, you're bound by what's available at the time of the request. LM has always said it adds titles in their original language, so alternate language dubs aren't even usually a consideration.

As far as whether an English version will be uploaded, I can't answer that definitively because I don't work for LM, I just try to help out here by looking up release info & such, so only @morti can say for sure. You may not have Tubi in your location, but if you have YouTube, there are quite a few entries there that indicate English dub tracks for the "Ernest and Celestine" title.

liakelly Well, I don't know how else to call it when I was clear in requesting the English version, and then I was ignored for a couple of days just to get a link to the French version. Where does LM say it adds titles in their original language, because that's the first time I've heard about it?

I don't understand, what you mean is supposed to be on YouTube. I doubt the movie can be found there, but I could be wrong.

FairyNight Just out of curiosity, are you on a paid membership, or are you using the service for free?

@FairyNight Cat got your tongue, hon? Anyway, the fact that LM posts titles in their original languages was mentioned in a previous thread at https://lmofficial.to/d/3513-simple-request/9. Also, if you don't get a response to your request within a couple of days, it doesn't mean you're being "ignored," it just means the request hasn't been seen yet. In a perfect world of entitlement, things happen instantly, but we are NOT living in that utopia. Have an awesome weekend.

liakelly You're such a hypocrite. I could be ignored for a couple of days, but when I'm busy on the weekend and don't respond, it's apparently a problem. I wasn't talking about the situation of a request not being seen yet, but about me asking about the status of adding the movie Ernest & Celestine. And about that thread, it's not pinned, so how was I even supposed to be aware of its existence? If I've somehow thought about scrolling down to August 2024 (let's say for argument's sake, but it would almost certainly never happen), how from the title "Simple request", was I even supposed to know it's about LM posting titles in their original languages?

FairyNight What part about "I DON'T WORK FOR LOOKMOVIE" do you not get? I don't owe you anything, I'm just another user of the service like you. As I already said, I help people out here by looking up missing info or digital release dates and such, I do not and CANNOT answer technical questions or questions specific to content availability. And with regard to the info on original languages in that previous post, it took me less than 10 seconds to use the search feature at the top of the page to find it. You're clearly one of those folks who can't be bothered to search for something because you expect everything to be "pinned" for you. Again, pure entitlement.

You calling me on the carpet for "ignoring" you is Grade-A bullshit when I clearly already told you in a previous response I don't work for the service. Go try taking your morning dump in someone else's coffee cup.

liakelly Oh, I almost forgot to comment on the last one. I don't expect things to happen instantly. I didn't have any issues with my other requests. The movie Ernest and Celestine: A Trip to Gibberitia was uploaded when it was said it would, and it was in French because that's the only language it's in, and I knew that. Same with win or lose. It was there the next time I searched for it. Here it's just sad you can't admit you were wrong and should have said from the start there may not be an English version and only a French one. Then I would probably ask why, you would have answered, and that would be it. Now you try so hard to make me the one in the wrong I don't even know why. You even try to idk intimidate me or just be mean with the texts like "cat got your tongue" or implying I feel entitled.

liakelly Yea you are right I should use other subject than you like LM while writing that's my bad.

FairyNight All this would have never happened if you'd simply read my original comment from 4 days ago when I wrote: "It's originally a French production, so English versions might not be easily found via torrents."

FairyNight I'm not trying to intimidate you, I'm simply trying to get you to understand that you're trying to get information from someone who can't provide it because I don't have the authority or the equipment to give you a definitive answer. Good grief.

@liakelly Because what I'm writing is supposed to be directed to @morti as well, but you kind of acted as their advocate, I grouped you with them, but that's my bad for forgetting you've said you don't work with them. And I don't expect everything to be pinned, but I think the information that movies can be requested only in their original language is important. And it should be said if not here pinned then on the page when you buy subscriptions and it's just said you can request movies and series. Btw idk what you wrote in the search engine here, but if i was looking for what language can be requested i would search something like: "request language" or "what language can be requested" or "language can be requested" or "requested movie language" and there's nothing there with the tittle that suggests it's what I'm looking for.

FairyNight Clearly not, or you wouldn't have written later: "... you were wrong and should have said from the start there may not be an English version and only a French one." That's what I WAS saying.

liakelly I used wrong subject as in subject in the sentence "YOU" when I should have separated issues to you and to LM/ @morti
